CASE STUDY: Enigma Medical Solutions
Enigma Medical Solutions renew ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 again with Compliant.
Why Enigma Medical Solutions decided to invest in ISO 9001 and ISO 27001
Innovative surgical business, Enigma Medical Solutions, offers a fully mobile surgical unit that can be deployed quickly and conveniently for GPs, hospitals and other medical facilities.
Dr Martin White and Dr Ross Kelly established this community based surgical service to tackle the backlog of minor surgery created during COVID 19. The entrepreneurial business achieved ISO certifications ISO 9001:Quality and ISO 27001:Information Security with Compliant in 2021.
Enigma Medical Solution’s Business Manager, Bells Harvey commented “We’re now in our second year of ISO and we have been working hard at embedding the systems set up last year into our working life.
Having ISO in place has been especially important for engaging with NHS framework contracts. We need to evidence that we are a well-run company, especially being a new business.
We need to assure potential customers that they can trust us. As the company grows it will be easier for us to develop around those systems established when we implemented ISO as we have put them in place from the beginning. Our clients have confidence in our services.”
The Process
As part of our ongoing customer service, contact was retained with Enigma Medical following their initial ISO UKAS accreditation. Business Manager, Bells Harvey, opted to once again utilise our support services to ensure they successfully retained both ISO standards in their upcoming audit.
Liaising with the certification body, we successfully arranged surveillance dates and compiled a new management system for Enigma. This included revised dates, review dates, version numbers and all relevant updated documentation in relation to the business. Once completed, the system was then shared with the external auditor prior to the surveillance audit.
The Outcome
When asked about the experience with CompliantBells explained “We were pleased to get through the surveillance and achieve continued certification.
It was good to have Compliant alongside again to hold our hand. It gave us the reassurance that everything was planned ahead of the audit, and we had support throughout the day with any arising questions.
Having these processes and procedures in place is also good for people coming on board with the business. It means activities are streamlined and easily adhered to.”
Compliant Director Mark Henderson commented “This was another great achievement for Enigma Medical Solutions. As a new business having these systems in place from the get-go will put Enigma Medical Solutions in a good place and support business development.
